This is a really simple recipe and instructions for how to make Scooby-Doo ice cream cake.  Your family will love it!

First you will need a Scooby-Doo cake panmold.  If you don’t have one, you can find one in our Scooby-Doo store.  Next, you will need the ingredients below:

You can make your Scooby-Doo ice cream cakein two different ways… with the crumb crust over Scooby’s face or on the bottom of the cake, but you will need to decide this before you start.

Crust Bottom:
24 Oreo cookies, crushed
1/4 cup butter, melted
Ice Cream Filling:
1/2 gal. ice cream of your choice, softened so it’s easy to spread
8 oz. Cool Whip, optional
1/2 cup butter
1-1/2 square unsweetened chocolate
2/3 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/2 tsp salt

Spray your Scooby-Doo cake pan lightly with cooking spray for easy removal.  Mix crushed Oreos and 1/4 cup melted butter; spread and pack firmly over bottom of cake pan, freeze until firm (if you don’t want the crust over Scooby’s face, save this step for the last).  Layer 1/2 of your ice cream over crust bottom and freeze.  Melt 1/2 cup butter and unsweetened cocoa over low heat.  Add sugar, vanilla, evaporated milk, and salt.  Bring to a boil and cook until thickened.  Cool, pour over frozen ice cream and freeze.  Spread remaining softened ice cream over chocolate middle filling, freeze.  If you didn’t put the Oreo crumb crust at the bottom of the pan over Scooby’s face, you will want to do this now, pack firmly, and freeze.  Make sure the cake pan is full to the brim so that when you remove the cake from the pan, there won’t be any gapping between the cake and your serving plate causing the cake to pull away from the pan in pieces.

Removing your Scooby-Doo ice cream cake from the pan is easy.  Allow to sit for awhile, run a warm, damp cloth over the outside of the pan, and lift gently.  Top with Cool Whip if you wish.

Congratulations, You did it!  Enjoy!
